Are you feeling stressed or overwhelmed by events that feel out of your control? Do you notice unhealthy patterns in the choices you make? These feelings of powerlessness and vulnerability can understandably lead to anxiety, depression, sleep disturbance, or anger. Potentially, these emotions can impact the relationships you have with your partner, children, friends or coworkers. As a psychotherapist, I have been helping clients for over 15 years understand and change dysfunctional patterns, and develop healthier coping mechanisms. I am an active participant in the process, and try to help my clients develop insight and solutions to their problems.
In my years as a psychotherapist, I have worked with many people coping with a diverse set of issues. This includes, but is not limited to, people dealing with depression, anxiety, substance abuse issues, anger, infertility, and adults with ADHD. I work with both individuals and couples.
Many people have commented positively about how I provide feedback in sessions. I can ask questions that challenge what clients tend to expect from themselves and others. The most difficult step is to acknowledge that one can't solve the problem by oneself, and then making the call.
